Nineteen-year-old Juri Yukawa just wants one thing, to live out her normal life, and maybe get a job. But, when her nephew and NEET brother get kidnapped by a shadowy cult, Juri discovers a family secret that will change her life and lives of her family forever. The Yukawa clan has the ability to freeze time! It pains me to say this, but, Kokkoku had so much potential, and yet it wound up being a clumsy, poorly executed mess. This was by far the biggest disappointment of the Winter season. Week after week, episode after episode, it became painfully obvious that the series lacked any real direction.

The manga tells the story of Juri Yukawa, who during a kidnapping of her nephew and brother, discovered that her grandfather can stop time using a mysterious stone and that can move freely when time is standing still. It is currently licensed outside Japan by Kodansha USA and is released in both print and digital versions. Juri Yukawa is a mischievous young woman, unaware that her family has the secret ability to stop time. When her brother and nephew are suddenly kidnapped by a cult named the "Genuine Love Society", her grandfather uses a special stone that allows her and her father to enter a world called Stasis, where time stands still. As they venture through Stasis to infiltrate the cult's hideout, they meet others who can also move through the mysterious world, as well as the strange grotesque monsters that reside in it. Juri herself will discover the secrets behind the stone and Stasis itself, as they slowly unfold before her. An anime television series adaptation by Geno Studio was rumored in to be in development as one of the studio's three major anime projects, alongside the anime adaptation of Golden Kamuy manga and an unnamed anime project directed by Takahiro Omori. It is directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi and written by Noboru Kimura.

Living with her family makes Juri Yukawa feel stressed out, but one day, she receives a phone call that changes everything: her brother and nephew have been kidnapped! Juri must save them as soon as The first cries of a newborn baby echo loudly through the silent world. Sagawa, who once made Juri and the others cower in fear, is now gone. However, The Master Stone that Juri needs to return from Juri and Grandpa are unable to rescue Makoto and Tsubasa because of the appearance of a group of mysterious men. Suddenly, a monster appears in the midst of the chaos.
